What Is Cosmetic Bonding?

Cosmetic bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored, composite resin material is applied to your teeth and sculpted to cover or replace a problem area in your smile. The material bonds to your teeth like glue. It is then “cured” or hardened with a special ultraviolet light.

Cosmetic bonding is a quick and affordable way to correct various dental flaws, including:

  • Unsightly gaps between front teeth
  • Slightly chipped teeth
  • Rough or jagged edges on front teeth
  • Dull-colored or stained teeth

Cosmetic bonding is faster and cheaper than veneers or crowns, and can thus be a good option to make small cosmetic improvements to your teeth. Unlike veneers and crowns, bonding can be done within one office visit since nothing has to be made at a dental laboratory. Additionally, the procedure typically requires removing less tooth enamel compared to veneers and crowns. However, since bonding typically doesn’t last as long as other forms of restoration and is less resistant to stains, it is used more for small cosmetic touch-ups rather than major restorations.

Teeth Whitening

If you would like to dramatically whiten your smile, our modern tooth-whitening system is highly effective and yields outstanding results. Plastic whitening trays will be made from custom models of your teeth. You will then be able to take the whitening trays home and whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home. When you are ready to begin the whitening process, you will place the special whitening gel in each tray and wear the trays in your mouth for several hours per day. (Most patients prefer to wear their trays after dinner and before bed.)

You will generally see a significant change in your tooth color in just four to six weeks. Occasionally, patients may experience gum and tooth sensitivity when using their trays. These symptoms usually subside when treatment is discontinued for a few days.

If you are interested in getting a white, bright smile,

It was a very good time. No one was judgmental, everyone was kind and very accommodating. Not going to lie, dentists places always make me nervous and have anxiety and stuff, but despite that, I was shaking inside everyone was very friendly, and I didn’t feel so bad. You guys are amazing.
